Mollie + Steve | A Cozy Hometown Winter Wedding | New Ulm, Minnesota

Mollie + Steve | A Cozy Hometown Winter Wedding | New Ulm, Minnesota

I wish more people planned winter weddings! Honestly, I know the cold and snow may sound daunting or not ideal to deal with, but I think it’s fun and a little more unique :) Mollie and Steve stayed true to who they are and what they wanted and that included planning super fun winter getaway for their friends and family to New Ulm, Minnesota. Leading up to their wedding day I was actually worried we wouldn’t have any snow, but luckily we had just enough to create those beautiful winter wonderland portraits that you brave the cold for! So much love and laughter was shared on this day and I am so happy I got the opportunity to document it!

Living in Wisconsin means living in winter for a good chunk of the year. While most people complain that it's so cold and snowy, I say embrace it!! I love that we have all 4 seasons in Wisconsin because as a photographer I get lots of variety in backgrounds even without having to travel. Haha although you already know I do prefer to travel for my weddings :) So I wanted to show that even when it's cold and snowy, you can have a gorgeous wedding and even get gorgeous outdoor portraits!!

This styled shoot was definitely a labor of love. All of these amazing vendors braved below zero temperatures to see the vision that Kirstie and Mallory from Elevate Events created. Also have to give a shout out to Renee at Madison Wedding Flowers for cutting down her own Christmas tree to have all of the gorgeous pine! It was a crazy fun day and I just can't thank all of these amazing people enough for all of their hard work!!
